Late 19th Century. This instrument was used for tattooing. Bronze.
The yat (nib-like point) is solid, with a round sharp point split into 2 by
long slits on each side, which serves to hold the colouring matter. This sits
into a hollow pipe which again joins into a weighted end, in the form of a Balu
(an ogre). 19" long.
EUR € 400.
